Are you ready to be a blessing to others?
What did God say?
Know them by their fruits.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
MATTHEW 7:15-20
What this means is look at people’s action, their patterns, not their words.
So many people are false.
Seek to deceive.
Seek to manipulate.
Seek to use others.
God is telling us to bear good fruit.
To perform good deeds.
To help others.
To bless others.
What energy do you transmit?
Are people pleased to see you?
Do you add positive energy when you enter a room…
Or do others dread your presence?
What people do you have in your life?
Do they add value?
Do you feel blessed to know them?
Or burdened?
How do others view you?
Are you self-aware?
You can tell if people are pleased to see you.
Look at their reaction when you enter a room.
Or when you touch them.
Do they recoil?
Are people making excuses to leave early?
Do others ignore you?
Do they evade your invitations?
Here’s how to upgrade your presence.
What blessings can you give?
Do you offer hope and encouragement to others?
Do you inspire others?
Are you genuinely interested in other people?
Do you want to help others?
Or do other people and their problems get on your nerves?
What was Jesus like?
Crowds gathered to follow him everywhere.
People were eager to see him, hear him, be blessed and healed by him.
His presence was sought out by thousands`;
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon. 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.
MARK 3:7-12
He was exhausted helping others, and had to seek time alone to pray and recover.
Decide to be more like Jesus.
Pray to be a blessing in other’s lives.
Offer to help others.
If you have a skill – use it to help others.
If you have money – bless other financially.
If you have time – bless others by listening to them.
Who do you want to bless next?
God blesses the righteous and the sinners.
Rain falls on everyone.
God blesses whomsoever he chooses.
Good or bad.
So pray for God’s blessing today for someone you think needs a boost.
Or pray for God to show you who to bless.
Let us pray.
LORD GOD HELP US TO BLESS OTHERS AND FOLLOW YOUR LEAD. HELP US TO THINK LESS OF OURSELVES AND MORE OF OTHERS. HELP US, WE PRAY, TO BE OF SERVICE. WE PRAY THAT WE ARE MORE HUMBLE. WE ASK THAT YOU SHOW US HOW. IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE PRAY. AMEN.
